Job Title: Metering Delivery Manager (Maternity Cover) 12‑Month FTC
Salary: £40,000 for 37 hours (pro‑rata available)

South Staffs Water are looking for a confident, organised and people‑focused Metering Delivery Manager who can lead delivery activity across a high‑profile metering programme. The Role
As Metering Delivery Manager, you’ll play a central role in delivering our Universal Metering Programme, an essential initiative supporting water efficiency, customer insight, and environmental protection across our South Staffs and Cambridge regions. You’ll oversee operational delivery, contractor performance, customer experience, and programme governance to ensure we meet our targets safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Role Responsibilities
* Oversee day‑to‑day delivery of the Universal Metering Programme, ensuring targets for cost, customer experience and health & safety are met.
* Lead Community Engagement Officers and support delivery partners to achieve high‑quality, on‑site performance.
* Manage programme governance, including weekly reporting, performance reviews, and maintaining action, risk and decision logs.
* Own customer complaint resolution, improve customer journeys, and embed new service initiatives.
* Manage contractors and suppliers, tracking performance, ensuring compliance, and overseeing stock and materials.
* Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including local councils, to resolve operational issues and support smooth programme delivery.
* Analyse data, report on programme performance, and identify opportunities for efficiency and service improvement.
