The Role
We are looking to recruit experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers to support the engineering department with sound electrical, mechanical and maintenance engineering service to improve production operating efficiencies.
Main Duties
* Respond to breakdowns and repair and maintain equipment across all production lines and process areas.
* Responsible for PPM and maintaining correct records within appropriate timescales.
* Undertake plant stripdowns, rebuilds and component repairs.
* Assist with small project works and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Perform PLC troubleshooting or diagnostics, identifying or resolving issues with programmable logic controller (PLC) systems such as Siemens, Allen Bradley.
* Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify faults, malfunctions or abnormalities and implement appropriate repairs or maintenance procedures to return the line to production.
* Develop knowledge of production processes and share with other engineers and operatives.
Candidate Requirements
* Time served apprentice to NVQ3 in an engineering discipline.
* At least 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
* Excellent health and safety awareness.
* Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment and manage changing priorities.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Hard‑working, enthusiastic and eager to develop.
* Good communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team or independently.
* Sound IT skills and a good standard of English and Maths.
Hours and Location
You will work 40 hours per week on a 12‑hour continental shift pattern (0600‑1800 and 1800‑0600) with 4 days on, 4 days off in alternating pattern and night shifts similarly.
