The role of HSE Advisor is to provide essential knowledge, advice, and support by promoting continuous improvement and safe working practices across site in accordance with defined legislative and contractual requirements.
Responsibilities:
1. Promote a positive H&S culture throughout the company and supply chain.
2. Contribute to HSE commitments by highlighting and promoting best practices, ensuring HSE Management System policies and procedures are implemented and utilized across all project work scopes within allocated milestones.
3. Monitor and review site performance through weekly inspections and audits, including assessment of all Risk Assessments and Method Statements, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, and record findings with areas for improvement.
4. Agree on remedial actions with site management for non-conformance issues and follow up to ensure proper implementation.
5. Prepare and deliver reports on project HSE performance targets and KPIs in line with business, client, and regulatory requirements.
6. Provide proactive advice and guidance on site to ensure HSE processes are adhered to and key behaviors are embedded.
7. Manage the delivery of effective HSE inspection and audit regimes to monitor compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.
8. Identify training needs related to HSE and deliver training as required.
9. Oversee incident response, reporting, investigation, and follow-up to establish root causes and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Qualifications:
* H&S Degree / NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent
* IOSH Qualification
