We are looking for a driven, diligent, and experienced Safer Neighbourhood Officer to join our Neighbourhood Management team. What Will You Do? You will be joining a newly established structure to deal with Anti-Social Behaviour and Breaches of Tenancy. Your role will be focused on leading on cases where all preventative and informal approaches have been exhausted, taking the lead on finding solutions to address issues utilising the formal powers available to the Trust. This will include preparing cases for legal work, drafting witness statements, and representing the Trust at court as and when required. The role will require you to be pro-active in your approach, with the ability to develop preventative strategies which evidences empathy to the diverse needs of our customers, whether they are subject to or perpetrators of anti-social behaviour. You will also be required to attend multi-agency meetings from time to time and will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust and external agencies to support the needs of the business and the customer. With proven communication skills, you will proactively address breaches of tenancy and work with customers to enable them to manage and sustain their tenancies. Your role will also entail promoting positive relations between customers living in the Trust’s neighbourhoods. Minimum Requirements For This Role* 3 A levels or equivalent level of qualification or equivalent professional experience in social housing. Experience of working with internal and external partners to resolve issues. Experience of preparing legal documentation (notices, witness statements) for court and using legal remedies to achieve successful outcomes. Experience of working collaboratively as part of a team. Experience of dealing with vulnerable customers in a sensitive manner. Competitive salary Due to the nature of the role, a full current driving license and access to a car is essential. The role will also require the successful candidate to undergo a DBS check.
