Job Description
The engineer will be required to deal with projects throughout the UK but prominently within 2 hours from the office. Role includes condition surveys and working on projects from concept/feasibility stage, through design and construction to commissioning and handover under the guidance of a Partner. Skills shall include but are not limited to the following:
* Lighting calculations
* Cable calculations
* Part L Compliance checking
* Designs to include equipment selection and specification writing etc
* Design and specification of renewable technologies
* Liaison with utility companies for new and diversion of existing services
* Liaison with architects, clients, structural engineers and contractors
* Project Management
* Site inspections
Qualifications and experience
* British or European citizen or otherwise working rights in UK
* Degree qualified in electrical engineering
* Experience: Working as an electrical (building services) design engineer (preferably in the UK)
* Good design knowledge/skills
* Essential experience:
- Working knowledge of wiring regulations BS 7671
- Working knowledge of relevant British Standards
- Education, leisure, residential and mixed-use sectors
- AutoCAD MEP
* Preferential but not essential experience:
- Familiarity with BREEAM, and implications for M&E design
- Revit MEP

* Reside locally to Tring or able to relocate
* Own transport available + valid driver’s licence
* Ideally available to commence immediately or under short notice
