About the company

Windsor Home Bakery is a well-established bakery known for producing high-quality breads, pastries, cakes and traditional baked goods.

The business is now looking for an experienced Bakery Manager to lead a small team while remaining closely involved in daily production.

What youll be doing

This is a hands-on bakery management role, with approximately 70% of your time spent baking and 30% focused on leading the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing breads, pastries, cakes and speciality baked goods
• Operating and managing hotplate production, including soda bread and pancakes
• Leading and supporting a small bakery team of up to eight people
• Preparing staff rotas and production schedules
• Managing team performance and maintaining high standards
• Monitoring product quality, consistency and presentation
• Managing stock levels and ordering supplies
• Ensuring food safety, hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained
• Supporting the development of new products and recipes
• Working with the team to meet daily production targets

What were looking for

• Strong professional bakery experience
• Confidence producing breads, pastries, cakes and speciality products
• Previous supervisory or management experience
• The ability to lead from the front and remain hands-on in production
• Strong organisation and time-management skills
• A reliable and practical approach
• A genuine focus on quality and consistency

Previous hotplate experience would be beneficial, but training can be provided.

Formal bakery qualifications are not essential. Relevant professional bakery experience is more important.
