Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate English tutors to join our team at Progress Education Centre. The ideal candidate will have a background in tutoring or teaching, with a particular focus on providing support to student, including those with special educational needs. This role requires good communication skills, the ability to engage students effectively and foster a positive learning environment, and excellent subject knowledge of KS3 and GCSE English curriculum.
Sessions take place during term time, between 4pm and 8.30pm Tuesday-Thursday. The time and day can be adjusted to fit your availability.

Duties
* Provide small group tuition sessions tailored to individual student needs (max 4 students per session).
* Develop customised brief lesson plans that align with the curriculum and address specific learning objectives.
* Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly to ensure comprehension and retention of material.
* Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student confidence and motivation.
* Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress to parents verbally at the end of sessions.
Requirements
* Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children.
* Excellent subject knowledge in English.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically.
* Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in response to diverse learning styles and needs.
