Your New Role
As part of our Contribution Engineering team, you’ll play a crucial role in designing and installing contribution technology across the EMEA region. Your mission? To help build and maintain the platforms that deliver TNT Sports & Eurosport’s expanding portfolio of sports rights.
This hybrid role, based in Chiswick Park, London, allows you to work up to 3 days a week in the office (Monday to Friday) and requires travel to major events, including the Olympics.
Your Role Accountabilities
* Design and implement contribution compression systems for TNT Sports/Eurosport.
* Liaise with Sports Technology, Production, and Operations teams to deliver future projects.
* Champion innovative contribution technology across the business.
* Manage third-party suppliers, ensuring clear requirements and adherence to SLAs.
* Stay updated on the latest technologies to enhance our broadcast capabilities.
* Provide expert technical support, troubleshooting issues promptly.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree-level education or experience in a broadcast environment.
* Knowledge of current compression standards and broadcast video signal chains.
* Self-motivated with the ability to advance projects independently.
* Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information clearly.
* Willingness to travel for major events and adapt to the fast-paced nature of sports broadcasting.
Desirable Skills
* Familiarity with JPEG 2000/XS, H264/HEVC, and NDI.
* Knowledge of SMPTE 2022-7, 2110, NMOS, and SDNs.
* Experience with UHD, HDR, and Dolby Atmos formats.
* Previous experience in remote production and deploying systems in AWS and GCP.
* Experience with LTE and internet contribution (SRT/RIST/ZIXI).
* Background in MCR operations and engineering.
Working Conditions
