Job Description Assembly, Integration & Test Manager Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum Location: Didcot Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible start and finish times) Start Date: ASAP Are you an experienced manufacturing leader with a passion for delivering high-quality, complex assemblies? Syntech Recruitment is seeking an Assembly, Integration & Test Manager to join a cutting-edge engineering business operating in a highly regulated sector. In this pivotal role, you’ll take ownership of daily manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Benefits Salary up to £65,000 per annum Employee Assistance Programme (360 Wellbeing) — access to GPs, mental health support, counselling, legal & financial advice, online fitness, and retailer discounts Flexible Benefits Allowance — £1,100 per year to spend on benefits of your choice Flexible Working — flexible start/finish times, core hours 9:30–3:30, and up to 2 days WFH (role-dependent) 28 days holiday bank holidays (currently 8) Contributory pension (4% from you, 4% from employer) Share options after probation Access to trained Mental Health First Aiders Free snacks and refreshments in the office Assembly, Intergration & Test Manager Duties Managing the daily activities of the MAIT team, ensuring safety, quality, and deadlines are met Allocating resources, issuing work orders, and preparing build documentation Coordinating with other departments to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturability Conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with H&S policies Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and escalating where necessary Supporting policy and process development to enhance MAIT operations Assembly, Intergration & Test Manager Profile Bachelor’s degree in engineering/physics (or HNC/equivalent with strong relevant experience) Proven management experience in manufacturing, ideally in aerospace or a highly regulated sector Strong leadership and mentoring skills Knowledge of MAIT processes, including functional testing, bonding/isolation, vibration, and thermal testing Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills Ability to gain SC clearance (UK resident for at least 5 years) Full UK driving licence Desirable: ECSS standards experience, space industry background, or apprentice-trained.
