Overview
Newport Pagnell Medical Centre has a permanent healthcare assistant opportunity to join the practice to support the nursing team. The hours are flexible; apply to discuss. Working under the direct supervision of the lead nurse, you will assist the clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care. The healthcare assistant will apply clinical skills to carry out high quality practice within designated clinical areas. The role offers opportunity to build experience, skills and competence within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities
* Venepuncture and phlebotomy checks.
* New patient health checks.
* Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms.
* Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations.
* Providing health promotion and education for service users, their families and carers.
