Position Summary
The Teacher - Guidance Counselor will provide guidance and counseling, instructional program operating services and instruction to the student population at Stanley Correctional Institution. The Guidance Counselor will serve as a General Equivalency Diploma (GED)/High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) examiner and an academic test proctor. This position also provides educational support services to students and instructional staff, as well as appropriate instruction to students as requested by the Education Director, and other duties assigned by the Education Director.
Salary Information
Pay schedule 13‑04 with hourly rate $30.00 – $35.06. Additional supplemental (add‑on) pay ranges from $0.97 – $2.97 per hour based on credits and professional development.

Job Details
Occasional remote work may be allowed but will normally be on site. Remote work must be performed from Wisconsin. Anticipated schedule is Monday‑Friday 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM. This position is FLSA exempt and may occasionally assist at other DOC worksites; travel is not anticipated to be regular.

Qualifications
* A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 20 credits in counseling coursework AND a school counseling internship.
* OR a Bachelor’s Degree AND 10 graduate credits in counseling AND at least one year of experience counseling in education, vocational, or career concerns.
