The Role
As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing credit control across a diverse portfolio of accounts including national supermarkets, wholesale traders and export customers. You will play a key role in ensuring strong financial controls while maintaining excellent relationships with both internal teams and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage credit control for a range of customer accounts including national supermarkets, wholesale traders and export clients using a variety of collection and risk management techniques.
* Conduct credit reviews and ongoing risk management of customer accounts.
* Handle discrepancy management and resolve customer queries efficiently.
* Manage order suspension and release in line with credit policies.
* Liaise with multiple UK sites to provide dedicated credit control support.
* Prepare for and attend regular debt and risk review meetings.
* Ensure all requests received through the credit control inbox are actioned promptly.
* Produce weekly and bi-weekly reporting on credit control performance and account status.
About You
* Excellent communication skills with a strong team ethic.
* Proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload effectively.
* Experience working within a customer-focused environment.
* High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
* Experience driving continuous improvements and supporting change initiatives.
* Experience working with multiple ERP systems (Navision and SAP preferred).
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
* Strong internal and external customer focus.
