Job Overview

Job title: Operations Officer

Location: Sheffield Springs Academy, Hurlfield Road, Sheffield, S12 2SF

Starting salary: £35,000 gross per annum

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Start date: As soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint an experienced individual to the role of Operations Officer at Sheffield Springs Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Operations Manager in implementing systems and procedures across the academy and support the day-to-day operations. The successful person will ensure and contribute toward the smooth running of all operational functions.

This role requires a focused individual who is organised, proactive, and passionate about making a difference for our academy and the local community. The successful candidate will be a highly efficient individual motivated to achieve academy objectives. They will be an excellent communicator with outstanding attention to detail, capable of working independently and as part of a team.

The role involves communication and collaboration with a large number of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be resilient, approachable, positive, and excel in team environments while also being comfortable working independently to meet operational objectives. This role is challenging yet highly rewarding, with a supportive and welcoming employer.

Sheffield Springs Academy is an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school, part of United Learning, a national group of schools and academies. It serves students aged 11-16. We Are Looking For

* An experienced line manager with excellent communication and team-building skills.
* Ability and confidence to coach and mentor colleagues.
* Validated operational services experience.
* Experience in developing high-quality administrative services.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to present operational proposals clearly to senior stakeholders.
* Good collaboration skills, including setting expectations and managing conflicting demands.
* Experience in report writing and presenting to diverse audiences.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Ability to contribute to policy and procedure review and development.
* Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
* Resilience and adaptability to changing workloads.
* A positive, proactive, and professional attitude.
