We are seeking a mid level Civil Engineer experienced in marine civil site development to join our European Engineering team based in any of our UK offices (London, Farnham, or Exeter). The successful candidate will support complex projects such as port/cargo terminal upland site work from concept development through to preparation of construction documents. Experience with large projects, project phasing plans (to minimize impact to live operations), and industrial sites will be an asset to your success for this position. Qualified candidates will have 5 years of experience working on heavy civil projects including design and involvement in the preparation of construction drawings and contract documents. You will have have strong communication skills and will be committed to assist with the leading of projects and teams. This individual must be self-directed, dedicated, and success focused. Duties and responsibilities: Prepare design documents and reports for waterfront/marine civil site development (site layout, grading, storm water, erosion control, utilities, and other infrastructure systems) Ability to plan, schedule work, and complete work assignments within established budget and timelines Perform calculations, cost estimates, prepare drawings, technical specifications, and write reports Develop final design plans Perform limited field observations in support of construction and data collection Attend client meetings as necessary Other duties: Please note this job posting is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; required 4 years of industrial or waterfront/marine site design experience; required Familiarity with complex sites and movement of heavy equipment; strongly preferred Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency Strong communication (written, verbal, and presentation) skills are a must AutoCAD, and Civil3D experience preferred Physical requirements: This is an office role; occasional extended hours or weekend work to meet client deliverables may be required. Some projects will require travel regionally and internationally.
