Rate of Pay: £12.21- £15.84 per hour
Summary:
The Support Worker role, based within the Homes and Wellbeing Directorate's Care and Support Service, focuses on assisting individuals to make choices and live as independently as possible. The successful candidate will be dedicated to demonstrating the values of the Care and Support Department and providing person-centred support. This is a project/community-based role, requiring an Enhanced DBS check with a barred list check. The position involves shift work, including nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
Responsibilities:
* Devise and implement individual care and/or support plans with risk assessments that are not risk averse.
* Carrying out or assisting in cooking and other domestic/cleaning tasks.
* Maintaining good health and hygiene, including administering medications and personal care (e.g., dressing, washing, shaving, and going to the toilet)
* Follow and review care and/or support plans with the service user and record progress.
* Enable service users to make informed choices through joint reviews of Care and/or Support planning and recorded risk assessments
* Assume responsibility for safeguarding adults and/or children who have needs for care and support, are experiencing, or are at risk of, abuse or neglect.
* Understand and comply with NCHAs policies and procedures on Finance, Technology Services, Data Protection, Health & Safety, Equality and Diversity, and any departmental policies.
Essentials:
* Female Candidate Only (This is a specific request for this role, likely based on the nature of the support required).
* Car user essential (Must have access to and be able to drive a car for work purposes).
* Previous experience in Support work
* Previous experience in Domestic Abuse support
