A leading utilities and infrastructure contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to act as the commercial lead on utility infrastructure projects. The role is responsible for commercial performance, contract compliance and financial delivery, while promoting a collaborative approach with clients and the supply chain. Key Responsibilities * Act as commercial lead across live utility infrastructure projects * Negotiate and agree subcontract terms and conditions * Manage subcontractor and supplier payments * Ensure compliance with contractual rights and obligations * Manage changes under NEC3/NEC4 Option A & C contracts * Assess commercial impact of variations and compensation events * Monitor contract performance, programme and cost risk * Undertake site visits to align commercial control with delivery * Manage project close-out and final accounts * Evaluate budget changes and capture cost variances * Collate defined cost records for audit purposes * Produce monthly CVRs, valuations and earned value analysis * Validate subcontract applications and payment data * Maintain change registers and commercial records * Contribute to monthly commercial reporting * Build and maintain strong client and supply chain relationships Candidate Profile * Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil or utilities infrastructure * Strong knowledge of NEC contracts * Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline * MRICS or MCIOB desirable * Line management experience * Strong commercial, legal and contractual awareness * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting * Background within construction or infrastructure sector * Valid UK driving licence and appropriate CSCS card
