The Role
As a Senior Vehicle Technician, you will play an important role within the workshop, handling complex diagnostics and repairs while maintaining the high standards expected of an RAC Approved Garage.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out advanced servicing, maintenance, and repairs on petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles
* Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
* Work on systems including engines, timing components, clutches, gearboxes, suspension, brakes, ADAS systems, and high-voltage components (where trained)
* Ensure all work complies with manufacturer guidelines and RAC Approved Garage standards
* Complete vehicle health checks and safety inspections
* Accurately document work completed, parts used, and time recorded
* Support and mentor junior technicians when required
* Work closely with service advisors and workshop control to maintain smooth workflow
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
* Keep skills up to date with EV, hybrid, and emerging vehicle technologies
About You
* Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
* Proven experience as a Senior or Diagnostic Technician
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
* EV/Hybrid experience or qualifications preferred (training available)
* MOT Tester licence desirable but not essential
* High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
* Full UK driving licence
