Product Developer – 12 month FTC

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment is working with a well-established, innovation-focused business in the nutrition and supplement sector. The organisation works on a variety of development projects across food, beverage, and supplement applications and is known for its collaborative approach and technical expertise.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a Product Developer to support multiple projects from early-stage concepts through to market-ready products in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Support and deliver new product development and innovation projects
2. Translate ideas and briefs into technically sound, commercially viable solutions
3. Work across nutrition, supplement and beverage-related applications
4. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to scope and progress projects
5. Consider quality, cost, compliance, and feasibility at every stage
6. Support sensory evaluation, stability, and shelf-life considerations
7. Assist with trials and first productions where required
8. Provide technical and formulation input across the wider business
9. Contribute to continuous improvement and best practice within R&D
What We’re Looking For
10. Degree in Food Science, Food Chemistry or a related field
11. Experience supporting product development projects from concept through to delivery
12. Understanding of ingredient functionality (vitamins, minerals, flavours, sweeteners)
13. Curious, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple projects
14. Strong communicator and collaborative team player
15. Passion for innovation, nutrition and continuous improvement
