Engagement: 12 month contract
Rate: Up to £320 per day (Inside IR35)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Murex Front Office Consultant to join a leading financial institution in London. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Murex systems, front-office configuration, and product valuation, with a focus on Commodities. This role requires excellent analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and maintain Murex Front Office modules in alignment with business requirements.
Define valuation settings and product characteristics based on term sheets and market data.
Develop and configure viewers for sensitivities and risk analysis.
Replicate P&L sensitivities and PLVA calculations in Excel for validation and testing purposes.
Support the valuation and configuration of Commodity products within Murex.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Market Data, Risk Management, and Back Office to ensure end-to-end system consistency.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Economics .
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with the Murex platform.
Proven expertise in:
Murex Front Office and Market Data configuration
Production Support and troubleshooting
Collateral management and risk configuration
Back Office processing and operations
MXML and Datamart setup and integration
High proficiency in English (C1 level or above), particularly in written communication.
Desirable Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Quantitative Finance or Financial Products.
Prior experience with valuation and risk management of complex financial instruments.
Strong soft skills including problem-solving, initiative, and teamwork.
