Role Purpose
The Procurement Officer supports the effective delivery of procurement services across J&P Group by ensuring timely processing of quotations, purchase requests, invoicing and compliance with established procurement procedures. The role provides essential operational support to the Procurement Manager and contributes to maintaining strong supplier relationships, accurate procurement data, and efficient coordination with internal divisions. This role forms part of the procurement hierarchy, supporting the Procurement Manager in meeting organisational priorities and service expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Process purchase requests, quotations, RFQs and procurement documentation efficiently.
* Ensure all procurement activity adheres to J&P Procurement Processes.
* Maintain accurate procurement data including pricing, supplier information and catalogue updates (SAGE, Klipboard and EMMS systems).
* Raise, track and manage purchase orders, delivery notes and invoicing.
* Support resolution of supplier delivery, pricing and quality issues, escalating when required.
* Produce accurate and timely quotations for clients.
* Liaise with suppliers for pricing, updates and delivery confirmations.
* Support supplier evaluations, onboarding and monitoring activities.
* Work closely with J&P Divisions who deliver PPMs, Projects, Engineering and Service to align procurements deliverables with operational needs.
* Contribute to daily briefings with updates on priorities and procurement status.
* Assist in delivery of team KPIs and procurement performance targets.
* Ensure all procurement transactions meet financial controls and approved supplier frameworks.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives improving turnaround times and supplier performance.

* Clear communication of delays, supplier risks or issues to the Procurement Manager.
* Adherence to procurement processes and financial controls.
* Support to ensure critical materials and parts are available on time.

Skills & Experience
* Experience in procurement or office‑based purchasing (engineering/service desirable).
* Knowledge of SAGE software (preferred).
* Strong communication and administrative skills.
* Ability to prioritise workload in a fast‑paced environment.
