Job Summary
Providing support to the management and development of Taylor Wimpey's National Housing Portfolios, standard construction details library and standard specifications to meet current and future regulatory, legislative and business requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
* Support, develop and coordinate the continuous improvement of the working drawings, product information packages and construction details together with our Housing Portfolio Managers and external consultants.
* Working closely with our supply chain partners and manufacturers/suppliers on design and technical developments and solutions.
* Assisting in the evolution of existing, and development of new group product.
* Providing the business with technical and design feedback support on product, construction detailing and specifications.
* Maintaining standard product sales & marketing collateral.
* Providing support for the department's director on group strategic initiatives.
* Providing technical, design & product support for other group functions.
* Undertaking site and manufacturer/supplier visits to review, maintain and continuously improve product.
* Manage business support systems and consultant management workflow.
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements
* Previous Technical experience within a development organisation
* Professional Qualification and relevant membership to a professional body (e.g., RICS, RTPI, RIBA, ICE)
* Knowledge of the full development/technical process
* Experience managing multiple consultants
* Experienced AutoCAD user
* Wider business breadth
