We're seeking a Design-focused Electrical / C&I Engineer to support our client in Reading on a long-term contract. Working within the Facility Design Authority, you will provide robust electrical and control & instrumentation designs to ensure compliance with legislation, performance criteria, and facility lifecycle requirements.\n\nElectrical Design Engineer / Control & Instrumentation Engineer \n\nLocation: Reading (2-3 days on-site per week)\nContract Length: 12 months\nStart Date: ASAP\nRate: £50 an Hour - Inside IR35 (inclusive of base site expenses)\nRole Responsibilities:\n\nProduce high-quality electrical and C&I designs across all project phases, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards alongside collaborating across disciplines to ensure design integrity is upheld through the full project lifecycle.\nInterpret and apply legislation, technical standards, and industry best practice to engineering outputs.\nMaintain a strong focus on safety, quality and environmental assurance, raising any concerns through the appropriate channels.\nSupport continual improvement in engineering practice, ensuring designs are clear, compliant, and efficient.\nWhat We're Looking For:\n\nONC/OND (minimum) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (HNC/HND preferred).\nSolid background producing electrical or control & instrumentation designs within highly regulated industries.\nProficiency with engineering tools, drawing packages and office software and experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary design team.\nGreat knowledge of engineering standards, particularly those relating to safety, design compliance, and lifecycle assurance.\nPlease note that this role will require UK security clearance!
