Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a welcoming and well‑established nursery in Yeovil, who are looking to appoint an experienced and passionate Pre‑School Room Leader on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early years professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and lead a Pre‑School room within a supportive and nurturing setting.
Role Details
Position: Pre‑School Room Leader
Location: Yeovil
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
Pay: £12.96 per hour
Contract: Permanent, full‑time
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the day‑to‑day running of the Pre‑School room
* Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
* Support and mentor team members, promoting best practice at all times
* Monitor children's development and maintain accurate observations and assessments
* Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
* Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
* Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety and nursery policies are followed
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
* Previous experience working within a Pre‑School or early years setting
* Experience in a leadership or senior role (or be ready to step up)
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
