Interim Head of Legal – Care Sector | (Hybrid, Competitive Day Rate)
A leading UK provider of social care services is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Legal to lead its legal function through a period of transition. They have a strong focus on M&A, commercial contracts, and supplier relationships and this would be a high-impact leadership role at the heart of a fast-paced organisation.
Key Details:
* 6-month contract (potential to extend or become permanent)
* Full-time, with 2-3 days/week on-site
* Immediate start, with handover support
Role Overview: Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the executive team, you’ll:
* Lead a multidisciplinary legal team (including data protection, property, and paralegal support)
* Oversee legal matters across M&A, commercial contracts, disputes, and supplier agreements
* Advise on employment law and ensure GDPR compliance
* Provide hands-on, practical legal support across the business
* Collaborate with department heads and senior stakeholders
Candidate Profile:
* Qualified solicitor with strong post-qualification experience (PQE)
* Background in corporate/commercial law; experience in healthcare or social care is a plus
* Proven leadership in managing legal teams and complex legal portfolios
* Commercially minded, resilient, and an excellent communicator
