As the Logistics Operative you will control incoming/outgoing goods and stock control on a practical and administrative basis from arrival from supplier to despatch to customer or internal department. You will report to the Parts, Logistics & Warranty Manager
What you will be doing:
1. Adhere to and take a proactive approach to maintain a high level of H&S within the warehouse
2. Accurately pick, pack and despatch shipments of parts and other goods.
3. Label all despatches and liaise as necessary with freight service providers.
4. Receive, check and put away goods for resale and workshop consumption in an accurate and timely way recording receipts on the computer (SAP) as necessary.
5. Receive and check customers’ returns of new, service exchange and warranty goods.
6. Load and unload vehicles as required and receive other goods as required.
7. Carry out stock checks as required.
8. Ensure all parts are picked and put away accurately.
9. Ensure all despatch and delivery notes are processed correctly and promptly.
10. Maintain excellent liaison with all internal divisions and departments with special emphasis on workshops and visiting engineers.
11. Liaise effectively with all customers and user departments on any delivery issues.
12. Assist with work in the stores as required.
13. Carry out any other departmental duties which may be required for example during periods of holiday, sickness or abnormal workflow.
14. Raise purchase orders using SAP for any general workshop and warehouse orders or requirements.
15. Send returns back to the factory in Germany ensuring they are packed appropriately with the correct paperwork
16. Manage and Control the tool store, warranty and service parts.
17. Assist with preparing marine engines and kit boxes for delivery to the customer.
18. Pick and transfer parts from the warehouse as required to the workshop engineers.
Position Qualifications
19. Strong attention to detail, ability to take on a wide range of tasks, enthusiastic person with strong interpersonal skills.
20. Forklift driving experience is desirable.
21. Previous experience in a Logistics role
22. Experience of Customs would be an advantage
Preferred requirements:
23. Proficient in Microsoft Office
24. On-the-job training will be provided for SAP B1
