At the NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre, we are committed to working with all experts, and the patient is the most important expert of all.
The post will involve building relationships and networks with individuals and communities in person and online and working with those networks to support them to influence what research we do and how we do it.
Responsibilities
* Build and nurture relationships with community members and stakeholder groups.
* Plan, give talks and host stalls at community events and online platforms.
* Organise and lead consultations using focus‑groups, public meetings and programmes such as the Dance and Health initiative.
* Provide information and engagement opportunities about research activities and impact.
* Assist in developing strategies that ensure public perspectives shape research priorities.
Qualifications
* Experience or interest in public involvement within health and community settings.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse populations, including under‑represented groups.
* Strong organisational and facilitation skills with a willingness to learn and apply new methods.
* Experience in NHS or university environments is desirable.
A training and mentoring package will be provided to less‑experienced personnel.
