Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise management and leadership skills while working closely with young children to foster their growth and learning.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
* Supervise and monitor children throughout the day, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
* Support children's individual needs through personalised care plans
* Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations and high standards of childcare
* Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
* Assist in the organisation of nursery events and activities to encourage community involvement
* Support the professional development of team members through mentoring and leadership when required
* Drive nursery vehicles for outings or errands as necessary, ensuring compliance with road safety regulations
Qualifications
* Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating initiative
* Level 3 Childcare qualifications recognised by relevant authorities (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator) are preferred
* Passionate about working with children and committed to their development and well-being

Pay: £10.85-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
