We are currently recruiting a committed and resilient individual to join a specialist all-through school, supporting children and teenagers with severe disabilities and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.

Pay: £90 to £110 per day (dependent on experience)

Eligibility: Must have experience supporting SEN and SEMH pupils in a UK school setting
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide crucial support across primary and secondary phases, working with students who have significant learning needs, including autism, physical disabilities, and behavioural or emotional challenges. You will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure each pupil is supported emotionally, socially, and academically.
This is a demanding but deeply rewarding role, ideal for someone passionate about inclusive education and confident working in high-needs settings.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting pupils with complex SEN and SEMH needs
*
Delivering 1:1 and small group support tailored to EHCPs
*
Assisting with personal care and mobility, where necessary
*
Promoting positive behaviour and helping de-escalate challenging situations
*
Contributing to a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
*
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families
Requirements:

Experience supporting children with SEN and SEMH in a UK school
*
Confident managing behaviour and emotional dysregulation
*
Calm, professional, and empathetic approach
*
Comfortable assisting with personal care when needed
*
Team Teach or equivalent behaviour training (desirable)
