Fresh, well-prepared meals are a key part of daily life for residents in this care home. As Sous Chef, you'll work alongside the Head Chef to deliver nutritious, well-presented food, helping keep the kitchen organised, compliant, and running smoothly throughout the day.
* This role requires recent experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie in a professional kitchen.
* Applicants must be confident supporting kitchen operations and maintaining food safety standards.
* This position is not suitable for candidates without experience in professional catering environments.
* Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
* Prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents
* Ensure specialist dietary requirements and allergens are handled safely
* Assist with menu preparation and food quality checks
* Maintain food hygiene, safety, and kitchen compliance standards
* Help keep the kitchen clean, organised, and ready for inspection
* Experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in a professional kitchen.
* Strong understanding of food hygiene, allergens, and safe food handling
* Ability to work efficiently within a structured kitchen environment
* Confidence supporting the daily organisation of kitchen service
