Key Responsibilities:
* Teach dynamic Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities for KS5.
* Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on cooking sessions that encourage creativity and build practical skills.
* Explore the science of food, from nutrition to sustainable food practices, helping students understand the impact of food on health and the environment.
* Lead extracurricular activities such as cooking competitions, food-related showcases, and school events.
* Collaborate with the wider teaching team to enhance the learning experience and contribute to the success of the food department.
What We re Looking For:
* A qualified teacher (QTS or working towards) with a degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a relevant field.
* Experience teaching food technology at secondary level, with a passion for food and cooking.
* Ability to teach both practical cooking techniques and the theoretical aspects of food science.
* A creative, enthusiastic approach to teaching with a focus on student engagement and development.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with students and colleagues alike.
