We are looking for a talented and passionate Project Manager at Leonardo in Luton, working in the EW Line of Business.
Leonardo is a global high-tech company and a key player in Aerospace, Defence, and Security. Headquartered in Italy, Leonardo has over 45,000 employees, including 7,000 in the UK. This role is within the EW Tempest Line of Business in the Electronics Division, which designs, builds, and manufactures complex electronic systems for the global defence market.
You don't need direct experience in the Defence Industry; we welcome skilled individuals from related industries and will support your development.
What you will do as a Project Leader:
* Join a creative team developing solutions for new and existing platforms.
* Apply budgeting techniques for forecasting and re-forecasting income, cash, and cash flow milestones to ensure project plan integrity.
* Anticipate and manage risks and opportunities, measuring exposure and providing recommendations.
* Prepare analyses and reports, including 'what-if' scenarios, for management, IPT, and external stakeholders.
* Contribute to bid preparation, management, and review for new and follow-on business.
* Engage with and manage internal and external stakeholders.
* Create, monitor, and update project plans; participate in monthly updates.
* Communicate contract or project variations to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting.
* Support the IPT in daily project management.
What we need from you:
Essential skills and experience:
* Experience with project control methodologies and risk management.
* Knowledge of Agile management methodologies and implementation.
* Proficiency with SAP/Primavera for planning and project management.
* Understanding of all lifecycle stages with experience in some.
* Ability to influence stakeholders using data and analysis.
* Typically meets the competency levels of Project Manager (Entry) or PMO Officer per the APM Framework.
