They are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end production process, from initial casting through to final inspection and delivery. Role Overview As Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will lead and optimise the entire production lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration between casting, machining, and finishing operations. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality aerospace components on time, within budget, and in compliance with stringent industry standards. Key Responsibilities Manage daily operations across casting, machining, and finishing departments, ensuring smooth handoffs and minimal downtime. Implement and enforce rigorous inspection protocols at each stage, from raw material to finished product, to meet aerospace quality standards. Lead a team of supervisors and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Develop and execute production plans to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing waste. Collaborate with quality assurance to address non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe working environment. Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and support the implementation of Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency. Desired Experience & Skills Proven experience in manufacturing operations management, preferably within aerospace or foundry environments. Strong background in casting processes, including sand casting, investment casting, or die casting. Experience with precision machining and finishing techniques used in aerospace component production. Familiarity with quality control systems and inspection methods, such as dimensional measurement, X-ray, and penetrant testing. Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations within a manufacturing setting. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
