Job Overview
The Professional Nurse Advocate (PNA) Lead Nurse is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about facilitating supervision, training and supporting the health and wellbeing of their nursing colleagues.
The post holder will work alongside the nurse managers in Primary Care, Community Services, and Complex and Long Term Care to lead the strategic direction in respect of continuing to embed Restorative Clinical Supervision.
Main duties of the job
You will lead Restorative Clinical Supervision for all nurses in the Division, to support nurses to identify their own personal action for career development and quality improvement, exploring their understanding of personal and professional resilience.
Qualifications And Knowledge
* Masters level Degree qualification or equivalent demonstrable level of qualification or experience
* Professional Nurse Advocate qualification or Clinical Supervisors Qualification
* Evidence of completion and delivery of student support and preceptorship, must have completed the Practice Assessor and Supervisor Training.
* Evidence of continuing professional development & revalidation knowledge and understanding of key guidance & principles underpinning the Professional Nurse Advocate role.
* Knowledge & experience of patient safety, clinical risk & safeguarding issues in practice & awareness of supporting legislation & guidance Knowledge of professional accountability.
Experience
* Evidence of delivering supervision of staff.
* Evidence of mentorship/preceptorship of nurses/student nurse.
* Evidence of creating and delivering educational programmes.
* Experience of working in a clinical patient facing role.
* Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriate.
* Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information.
* Ability to promote, educate and be passionate about the wellbeing of colleagues.
