A leading lifting and crane solutions provider is looking for a skilled Tower Crane Electrician / Erection Supervisor to join their growing engineering team. This is a key role for someone who takes pride in high technical standards, enjoys problem‑solving, and wants to work with a modern fleet across major UK projects.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, inspection, servicing and fault‑finding of tower cranes across a wide range of sites. Working both independently and as part of a team, you’ll support crane erectors, operators and site management to ensure safe, reliable and efficient crane performance.
Key Responsibilities

Electrical installation and commissioning during crane erection, climbing and dismantling.
*
Advanced electrical diagnostics and systematic fault‑finding.
*
Planned maintenance and statutory inspections.
*
Completing digital service records and updating job management systems.
*
Liaising professionally with site teams, clients and internal engineering teams.
*
Ensuring safe working practices and adherence to lifting procedures.
*
Representing the business professionally on sites across the UK.
Opportunities for Progression
For candidates with strong experience, there is scope to take on additional responsibility — including leading service and maintenance activities, scheduling preventative maintenance and coordinating labour and equipment.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
*
ECS Level 3 NVQ Gold Card (Electrical).
*
NVQ Level 3 Plant Installation – Tower Cranes.
*
Strong tower crane electrical experience.
*
Confident in fault‑finding and troubleshooting.
*
Good IT literacy (Microsoft 365, tablets, digital job systems).
*
Full UK driving licence.
*
Willingness to work regular weekends.
Desirable:
*
Potain/Manitowoc technical or diagnostic training.
*
Experience with anti‑collision systems (SMIE/AMCS) and load‑monitoring systems.
