Beverley Tourist Information Centre (Visit Hull and East Yorkshire) has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join their friendly team of TIC Advisors.
The applicant should possess proven excellent customer service and communication skills, along with comprehensive knowledge of the tourism offer and geography of Hull and East Yorkshire.
The ability to problem solve and work on your own initiative is essential as the job can often involve lone working.
Excellent ICT skills are a necessity for this role and the ability to learn new systems quickly is advantageous.
The role involves working within the wider Visit Hull and East Yorkshire team, so a flexible approach to the role is required. There is an expectation for TIC Advisors to occasionally work at different sites should the need arise and/or working weekends/bank holidays, covering sickness absence/annual leave of colleagues.
This post is initially on a 6-month fixed term basis, and it is anticipated that this post will work as per the following 4-weekly rota:
Working days and times:
Week 1 -
* Tuesday (7.5hrs) - 9am - 5pm.
* Thursday (4.5hrs) - 9am - 1:30pm.
* Friday - (4hrs) - 1pm-5pm.
Week 2 -
* Thursday (4.5hrs) - 9.30am - 2pm.
* Friday (4.75hrs) - 9am - 1:45pm.
* Saturday (6.75hrs) - 8.45am - 4pm.
Week 3 -
* Tuesday (7.5hrs) - 9am - 5pm.
* Thurday (4hrs) - 10am - 2pm.
* Friday (4.5hrs) - 9am - 1:30pm.
Week 4 -
* Monday (7.5hrs) - 9am - 5pm.
* Thursday (4.5hrs) - 9.30am - 2pm.
* Saturday (4hrs) - 12pm - 4pm.
