SEN Teaching Assistant Stratford-upon-Avon Special Needs School
Start Date: After February Half Term 2026 until the end of the academic year
Contract Type: Full Time, term time only
Pay: £89.05 - £100 per day depending on experience (PAYE no umbrella deductions)
About the role:
justteachers is seeking a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs at a welcoming SEN school in Stratford-upon-Avon. The school supports children and young people with Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and additional complex needs.
This is a full-time role starting after the February half term and continuing until the end of the academic year. You will be working closely with class teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored academic and emotional support, either within a specific class or across different age groups depending on the needs of the school. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and confident supporting pupils with varying needs.
Key Requirements:
* Support pupils in small group and 1:1 settings with learning, communication, and personal development.
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities.
* Implement positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policy.
* Support pupils with personal care where required.
* Level 2 or higher Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (must be relevant to working with children).
* Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (that can be referenced).
* A minimum of two references covering the past two years, including your most recent employer (education-based references preferred).
