We are seeking a skilled Painter to join the Sheffield City Council repairs and maintenance service, specifically within the damp and mould/disrepair work stream. This role involves carrying out decoration, including damp and mould treatments, within our customers' homes across various locations in Sheffield.

Day-to-day of the role:
* Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, or other means as necessary.
* Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to property walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
* Carry out treatments for damp and mould issues in residential settings.
* Work efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. NVQ Level 2 in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification.
2. Proven experience as a painter, with specific skills in handling damp and mould treatments.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
