Electrical Control and Instrumentation Systems Engineer - Submarines
Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Control and Instrumentation Systems Engineer to work on submarine EC&I systems, including Dreadnought and SSNA projects. This role involves designing, integrating, and supporting reactor control and sensor systems throughout their lifecycle, from concept to commissioning.
The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, support build and commissioning activities, and ensure compliance with design requirements.

Responsibilities
* Designing C&I, power systems, control, and sensors for reactor support, monitoring, and protection
* Integrating subsystems and defining commissioning strategies
* Specifying product requirements, managing traceability, and verifying final products
* Supporting build and commissioning, resolving issues, and documenting processes
Candidate Profile
* Degree in electrical/electronics systems engineering or equivalent
* Member of a relevant professional body (e.g., IET)
* Experience in architecture design, V&V, requirements analysis
* Background in power/control electronics or sensor systems
Desirable skills include experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS), proactive work ethic, and knowledge of NSRP electrical systems.
