Job Description The Role You will play a pivotal role in the planning and preparation for our nationally and globally significant Development Consent Order (DCO) submission for the STEP programme. Managing internal and external interfaces, you will ensure a coordinated and effective DCO submission. As the primary point of contact for DCO Management Consultants, you will facilitate clear communication with the STEP project team. Additionally, you will monitor and report on the progress of DCO submission preparations, identifying and managing risks to ensure success. You will also support planning applications under the Town and Country Planning Act (TCPA), ensuring their impacts on the DCO are identified and managed. Accountabilities include: Managing DCO Interfaces Ensure effective communication between the design team, DCO Management Team, and other project teams. Support community engagement events with the STEP Communications Team. Maintain a log to manage all project interfaces and actions. Monitoring and Reporting of DCO Activities Monitor and update the DCO Activity Plan with the DCO Lead. Identify and address deviations from the plan. Prepare regular status reports for management. DCO Risk Management Identify and manage risks to achieving the DCO award. Maintain a risk register and work with the Project Risk Team. TCPA Planning Support Support planning applications for developments under TCPA. Coordinate with planning agents to ensure successful applications. Manage interfaces between TCPA and DCO applications.
