We are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work one-to-one with a student in Foundation 2 at a primary school in Bromborough. This position is ongoing until the end of the summer term and is available for an immediate start.

Duration: Ongoing until the End of Summer Term
Role Overview:
– Provide one-to-one support to a Foundation 2 student, assisting with their academic and social development.
– Implement strategies and interventions to support the student’s learning needs and engagement in the classroom.
– Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for the student.
– Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate effectively with school staff and parents.
Requirements:
– Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
– Ability to engage and support young learners, including those with diverse learning needs.
– Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach to supporting student development.
– A proactive and collaborative attitude towards working with colleagues and supporting student progress.

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
15. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
16. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
17. Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
18. Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
19. Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
