Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available for 2 motivated individuals to join our team at both the Knottingley and Barnsley Plants as an EHS Coordinator. The successful candidates will ensure continued compliance with all EHS legislation, waste management, and day-to-day environmental management at designated site level. Assisting in EHS audits, training requirements, and procedures and documentation.
Responsibilities
* Environment Health and Safety risk management, including fire, business, operational loss, security and site safety
* Support the EHS Manager AGP - UK in legal and compliance matters. Support plant EHS/H&S manager in implementing and maintaining EHS and risk policies and procedures
* Manage site environmental legal compliance and systems including, but not limited to PPC, UK-ETS, E-PRTR, ISO 14001
* Risk identification and mitigation
* Monitor compliance with environmental regulations (waste, emissions, etc.)
* Timely and accurate completion of EHS reports and documentation
* Complete internal EHS standards audits and action plans for identified improvements
* Liaise with departmental teams to assist with EHS improvements in their areas
* Participate in technical audits of the alternate Ardagh facilities to support problem resolution, continuous improvement and best practice
* Experience of Environment and/or Health & Safety work, preferably in manufacturing industry
* IEMA Qualification (desirable)
* NEBOSH Certificate (Desirable)
* Working knowledge of glass plant production process (desirable)
* Ability to adapt to changes in EHS and risk both by the business and legislatively, and to efficiently deliver
