About the Role:
As a Teacher of MFL (French & Spanish), you will play a key role in delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages KS3, KS4, and KS5 (if applicable). Your responsibilities will include:
1. Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons in both French and Spanish, catering to the diverse learning needs of our students.
2. Creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a passion for languages and different cultures.
3. Utilising a range of effective teaching methodologies and resources to ensure outstanding progress and engagement for all learners.
4. Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress accurately and effectively, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
5. Contributing to the development and implementation of the MFL curriculum and departmental resources.
6. Working collaboratively with colleagues within the MFL department and across the school to share best practices and contribute to a positive school culture.
7. For ECTs: Participating in our comprehensive and supportive ECT induction programme, with dedicated mentoring and opportunities for professional development.
8. For experienced teachers: Contributing your expertise to the department, potentially mentoring ECTs, and engaging in leadership opportunities for continued professional growth.
9. Contributing to extracurricular activities that promote language learning and cultural awareness (desirable).
What We Are Looking For:
* A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
* For ECTs: A strong passion for MFL and a desire to develop your teaching skills within a supportive environment.
* For experienced teachers: A proven track record of successful teaching in French and Spanish, with strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management skills.
* The ability to teach both French and Spanish effectively across the relevant Key Stages.
* A commitment to inclusive teaching practices and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
* Enthusiasm for promoting language learning and cultural understanding.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
