The role, reporting to the Senior Contract Advisor will support the effective co-ordination of all UK commercial and contractual administration matters, including but not limited to, proposals, new contracts, amendments, escalations and renewals.

The role is offered on a fixed term basis of up to 12 months to provide support to the team during a period of maternity leave.

Roles & Responsibilities
:


• Key focal point for ASCO clients with regards to all commercial and contractual matters. Attending client meetings virtually and off-site as required.


• Involved in the shaping of commercial strategy for allocated clients.


• Obtain the necessary internal approvals for all contractual and commercial matters as per the commercial procedures applicable across ASCO globally.


• Prepare and issue proposals for new and additional work scopes to clients both existing and new.


• Negotiate, draft and review new client contracts and subsequent extensions.


• Co-ordination of commercial queries and the compilation of contractual changes including negotiation and execution of all relevant Variation Orders and Amendments.


• Ensure all new won work via contract/PO is held centrally and issued out to the relevant persons within the business.


• Work alongside Key Account Managers (KAMs) to collate and present internal contract roll outs.


• Provide commercial support and guidance to all internal departments as and when required.


• Ensure all rates schedules are held centrally, and escalations are notified to clients with sufficient notice as per contractual escalation mechanisms. Rates then to be rolled out to relevant UK business departments once client approval obtained.


• Support with internal contract audits and review sessions.


• Establish and maintain commercial drive information.


• Assist KAMs as required with the preparation of client Business Performance Reviews and attend.


• Responsible for review and issue of Trade Agreement.


• Responsible for creation and issue of annual NUK Standard Rates.


• Assist Sales Team with the review of Purchase Orders.


• Support Sales Team with maintenance of AX.


• Maintain CMS databases.


• Support Specialist Services as required and appropriate with commercial matters.


• Support Group tendering activities as required.


• Provide support to KAMs and Business Development as required.

Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)


• Established commercial experience in the Oil and Gas industry.


• Commercially astute and motivated to produce continuous improvements and cost gains.


• Strong understanding of contracts and contractual terminology and the ability to interpret financial information.


• Client focused with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships, both internal and external.


• An effective communicator, both verbal and written, able to build effective business relationships.


• Effective negotiating skills with the ability to network, influence and challenge people at all levels.


• Effective management of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring challenging deadlines are met without loss of quality.


• Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and adaptive to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure.


• Solutions based with strong planning, organising and numeric skills, and an excellent attention to detail ensuring accuracy and clarity.


• Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the MS Suite and advanced Excel user skills.


• Ability to work stand-alone, demonstrating initiative and ownership, while a positive contributor to the wider team.

Desirable Qualifications/Competencies


• Degree educated


• Full UK Driving Licence
