About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Power T&D team. The role will support senior members of the commercial function while also taking responsibility for key commercial duties, including procurement and supply chain management. You will play a central role in managing project costs, driving value, and ensuring our work meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Typically, a Quantity Surveyor at this level will be chartered or working toward professional membership (RICS, ICES or CIOB) and act as a role model for less experienced team members.
What you'll be doing
* Organise information clearly and carry out systematic data checks.
* Measure, record and value work independently in line with relevant rules and procedures.
* Review project programmes.
* Plan commercial activities to align with programme requirements.
* Understand the impact of delay and disruption on programme performance.
* Gather information required to specify procurement needs.
* Understand and document the steps and requirements for procuring suppliers.
* Manage customer and stakeholder relationships within your area of responsibility.
* Carry out measurement of works and agreement of valuations with subcontractors.
* Collate cost and value information.
* Prepare cost reconciliation statements.
* Support the development of colleagues within the commercial team.
* Continue working toward professional chartership with RICS or an equivalent body.
Essential Experience
BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying
