It offers a wide range of technology-driven products and services to investment management firms, insurance companies and financial institutions. The business has a strong presence worldwide. By combining advanced technology with financial expertise, they help clients improve operational efficiency and make more informed decisions. The company is known for its ability to manage complex financial data and provide scalable, tailored solutions. They are now seeking a Legal Counsel to join their UK legal function.
What you'll do:
* Provide general legal advice to various business units within the organisation
* Negotiate commercial contracts with clients and suppliers
* Assist with the maintenance and enforcement of company policies and procedures
* Participate in risk management activities including attendance at risk committees when required
* Provide initial advice on disputes and claims between the Company and third parties
* Assist with mergers, acquisitions, restructuring and other corporate activity if required
* Provide advice and support to the HR team in connection with staff disputes, claims, grievances and other legal issues arising.
* Participate in group training learning and development
* Maintain clear understanding of corporate procedures and group structure
What you bring:
* Proven experience in outsourcing preferably within the financial services sector
* Excellent attention to detail and professionalism
* Ability to organise, prioritise and manage a heavy workload to meet tight deadlines
* Good working knowledge of data protection law
* Experience with TUPE/ liftouts is desirable but not essential
