Electrical Engineer
Client: BAE Systems
Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight
Duration: 6 months + potential to extend
Rate: £60 PAYE or £81.05 Umbrella
Working Arrangements: 3-4 days on site per week
The Role
We're seeking an Electrical Engineer to take a lead role in the design and development of complex electrical hardware systems at BAE Systems. You'll act as a senior technical authority, driving solutions from concept to completion and providing expert guidance across multiple projects.
What you'll do
Lead electrical design for new and legacy products.
Deliver solutions across power distribution, motor drives, control systems, and data networks.
Oversee design verification, testing, and integration activities.
Provide technical leadership, review documentation, and mentor engineers.
Contribute to bids, proposals, and technology development.
What you'll bring
Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
Significant experience in electrical design, integration, and verification.
Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g. IET Wiring, EMC, safety).
Experience in defence or other high-safety industries is desirable.
