Overview

This position is being offered as an apprenticeship, applicants will have a keen interest in construction and quality and will have worked in a customer focused role. The successful applicant will be required to complete a recognised Diploma through the Abri apprenticeship scheme.

Here at Abri, we’re determined to do our part in tackling the housing crisis by building at least 1,000 homes a year and to support our ambitious targets, we’re looking for a Development Quality Officer to support Abri’s drive for quality in construction and to improve the customers experience in new build homes. You’ll play a key role in our Development team by completing quality inspections at different stages of the build and working closely with key stakeholders and across the team.

With a keen eye for detail, a passion for a job well done and an aptitude for technical detail you’ll take the initiative to highlight any quality issues, poor workmanship or site concerns relating to the build. Our homes must be built to the highest of standards but will also have targets and timescales attached to them so good communication with other teams is essential to be successful in this role.

You’ll be working with a range of stakeholders both internal and external including our development partners so being able to quickly build strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders is a must.

Responsibilities

* Complete quality inspections at different stages of the build and work closely with key stakeholders and across the team.
* Highlight quality issues, poor workmanship or site concerns relating to the build.
* Ensure effective communication with other teams to meet targets and timescales.
* Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including development partners.


Qualifications

* A keen interest in construction and quality.
* Experience in a customer-focused role.
* Willingness to complete a recognised Diploma through the Abri apprenticeship scheme.

Abri is a large housing provider who own and manage over 50,000 homes and various community assets, serving 114,000 customers. Silva Homes joined Abri in October 2023 making the group a financially stronger and more resilient organisation.
