What difference will you make?
You will play a vital role helping to shape the strategic direction of the organisation and providing advice on our growing schools and education programme.
What are we looking for?
We are particularly looking for people with expertise in teaching and education. We have an extensive schools programme for primary schools and are keen to appoint someone who has knowledge of current needs of primary heads and primary commissioners. Have an understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship. Be confident to work digitally using Zoom and other conferencing software. Have strong networks and the willingness to share them. Exercise good, independent judgement. Have the ability to think creatively. Have a willingness to speak their mind. Have an ability to work effectively as a member of a team. To adhere to Nolan's seven principles of public life selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.
What will you be doing?
We're looking to expand our Board to bring new and different experiences, skills and stories into our organisation. You don't need to have past experience as a Trustee, or a professional background in the arts. The most important thing is that you believe in our mission and want to make a commitment to helping us grow and develop. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, especially those which are underrepresented. We are keen to improve the ethnic diversity of our Board, representation of disabled people.
