Responsibilities
* Manage transactional activities within the People Hub, ensuring paperwork is complete, checked and ready for onward transmission.
* Oversee training, attendance management, detail, payment, staff availability, work‑life balance, HR entry & exit processes, staff engagement, SPDR markings, NVQ facilitation, reward and recognition, leave, employee relations and immunisation/first aid coordination.
* Contribute to local policy development, maintain consistency of application, manage devolved budget and achieve Service Delivery Indicators (SDIs).
* Attend unit meetings, analyse data, produce reports, monitor Hub performance, draft communications, provide management information, manage staff performance and development, act as first point of contact for external stakeholders and requisitioner or approver as per local policy.
Qualifications
* Internal applicants: newly promoted staff to Band 5 first line manager roles (Hub Managers, Custodial Managers, Facilities & Services Managers). Qualification required where training packages are available.
* External applicants: must complete qualification where available. Band 5 Hub Manager or Facilities & Services Manager roles are eligible.
* Internal applicants who have mapped or re‑graded to Band 5 and have previously worked at an equivalent level will not be required to undertake the qualification.
Essential Experience and Technical Requirements
* Proficient user of MS Word and MS Excel.
* Experience in information collation and analysis.
* Hybrid working arrangements available – blend working from base location, MoJ sites and/or home (role can only be worked in the UK).
Benefits and Working Conditions
Standard full‑time working hours: 37 hours per week excluding unpaid breaks. Hybrid working arrangements where business need allows. Annual leave entitlement starts 1 March. Contractor types and pension scheme details are available through the MoJ terms and conditions of service.
