About the Role As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating an engaging, structured, and nurturing learning environment for pupils with a range of needs, including: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN) You will plan, deliver, and adapt high-quality lessons tailored to each pupils abilities, focusing on both academic progress and personal development. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets. Create a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and the SENCO. Use a range of communication and engagement strategies suitable for SEN settings. Track and monitor progress, regularly reporting to colleagues and parents/carers. Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and life skills.
